Within our mechanical/electronics team, Mathieu is involved in the acquisition and defense of IP rights, in particular in drafting patent applications and in patent prosecution (grant and opposition procedures), in France, Europe and abroad.
He does prior art searches and patentability studies and advises on freedom to operate and validity of patents. Mathieu also participates to court litigations.
He specializes in a variety of technical disciplines including applied physics (solid-state physics, surface physics, strength of materials), materials, transport and aeronautics, electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, software and automation, software engineering, digital technologies, and digital signal processing, as well as chemistry (polymers and rheology questions).
Mathieu began his carrier as a researcher for 5 years, notably at the CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research), before joining CASALONGA in 2006.
Based in our Toulouse office since 2014, he ensures its development, in liaison with the Paris team, and has chosen to focus primarily on supporting universities, public research centers, and start-ups, in line with the early research-oriented phase of his career.

Mathieu is a member of the French Patent and Trademark association (Compagnie nationale des conseils en propriété industrielle – CNCPI) and of the European Patent Institute (epi).
