A recognized expert in the fields of electronics and mechanics, Olivier regularly handles patent litigation and high-stakes international negotiations. Recently involved in several proceedings before the Unified Patent Court (UPC), he combines technical expertise with legal strategy to protect his clients’ interests across Europe. Renowned for his negotiation skills and pragmatic understanding of industrial challenges, he works on complex cases with significant strategic impact.

Within our mechanical/electronics team, which he co-leads, Olivier advises numerous French and international clients with all patent-related matters, from drafting to prosecuting both domestic and foreign patent applications. He also provides freedom to operate opinions and conduct patent validity assessments.

Olivier has practiced Industrial Property Law for over 30 years. His activities cover various fields of mechanics, electronics and electrical engineering including : automobile mechanics ; digital signal processing ; power electronics ; mobile phone ; energy ; medical device, such as medical imaging systems and processes.

Olivier is in charge of procedures for granting patents in France, in Europe and other countries as well as opposition and appeal proceedings at the European Patent Office (EPO) in Munich or The Hague for French and international companies.

His long experience in law firms allowed him to acquire a recognized expertise in litigation and legal disputes. He collaborates closely with CASALONGA’s attorneys in many patent litigations both in the French and European courts and abroad, in various fields of mechanics and electronics. He frequently organizes infringement-seizure operations to obtain evidence of patent infringement, in negotiations for the resolution of disputes and in mediation.

His activities also cover the field of contracts, particularly patent licensing, the valuation of Industrial Property assets and the audit of patent portfolios.

After several years of experience in a large law firm, he joined CASALONGA in 2001, becoming a partner in 2006.
Olivier is registered as a French Industrial Property Attorney at the Patentanwaltskammer (the Chamber of Patent Attorneys – the professional association of German Patent Attorneys).

Olivier is a member of the French Patent and Trademark association (CNCPI “Compagnie Nationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle”), the European Patent Institute (epi), the “Association des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle” (ACPI), the European Patent Litigators Association (EPLIT), the Association of European Patent Practitioners (APEB) and the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA).

He is a regular speaker at conferences on industrial property.
