From 1972 to 2008, Jean-Louis Lacroix contributed to the creation and development of the ERAM Group’s legal department during which time he served as Secretary General and General Counsel.
In 2009, he joined one of the largest law firms in the Loire region and acted as advisor to large multinational companies from western France mainly in the areas of intellectual property, selective distribution and competition law.
In 2015, Jean-Louis joined CASALONGA AVOCATS.
His career, first as legal director of a large industrial and distribution group and subsequently as a lawyer, complemented by his teaching activities, gives him both a strong theoretical background in business law as well as a practical operational approach, which benefits the companies that he advises.
Jean-Louis assists French and foreign clients in all areas of intellectual property (literary and artistic property, trademarks and designs), distribution rights (selective or exclusive distribution, franchising, franchise, commission-affiliation, commercial agents, legal organization of distribution channels, international contracts) and commercial leases (shopping centers and malls, GIE, traders’ associations).
Adjunct teaching / Profesionnal organisations
Since 1987, Jean-Louis Lacroix has taught distribution and intellectual property law as part of the preparation for the Diploma in In-house legal counsel (Master 2 at the Faculty of Law of Poitiers).
Since 2010, he has taught communications and media law in Master 2 at Sciences’Com, School Audencia Group, Nanges.
From 2007 to 2014, he also taught international business law at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Management of Angers.
Jean-Louis Lacroix is a member of the Association Law and Commerce and the French Institute of Directors.
