Geographical indications for craft and industrial products: changes to French National Institute of Industrial Property fees
A new order published in the Official Journal of 26 April 2026 (JORF No. 99) updates the fees collected by the French National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) in connection with procedures relating to geographical indications for craft and industrial products.
This text forms part of the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2023/2411 of 18 October 2023, which establishes a comprehensive and harmonised European framework for the protection of such indications.

Application for registration: €350
Amendment of the product specification: €350
Opposition: €400
Application for cancellation: €600
➡️ Measure in favour of SMBs:
Sole proprietorships and SMBs benefit from a 50% reduction in the opposition fee.
➡️ Immediate entry into force: from the day after publication, i.e. 27 April 2026.
