Laurence began her carrier within a well-known French IP firm in 2007, before joining CASALONGA AVOCATS in 2011.
She practices in the area of intellectual property law, with a focus on trademark prosecution, design and trademark litigation and Internet domain name disputes.
She advises clients by providing trademark search analysis and opinions regarding domestic and global trademark availability. She has extensive experience in opposition and appeal proceedings both before the French Trademark Office and the European Union Trade Mark Office (EUIPO).
Laurence is also involved in working with customs authorities with regard to seizures of counterfeit goods, in drafting intellectual property contracts, including license, assignment, technology transfer and coexistence agreements, and conducting intellectual property audits.
Laurence Schardt is member of the French Patent and Trademark association (CNCPI “Compagnie Nationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle”).
