Jianguo started his career in intellectual property in 1987 with Bureau D.A. Casalonga. He managed variety of patent issues including patent application drafting, prosecution, opposition and appeals before French and European Patent Offices for numerous clients in France and abroad. He also represented clients in saisie-contrefaçon proceedings for preserving evidence of infringement, and he assisted specialized lawyers in several patent infringement litigations in France.

In 1994, Jianguo moved to Thomson group (renamed Technicolor in 2010) and gained a remarkable professional experience. Started as senior patent counsel, his name is directly associated with the success of Thomson’s optical disk products licensing programs. In 2006, he took the responsibility worldwide of Thomson’s patent activities, with a team including several tens of patent counsels and technical experts, located in Europe, USA, Japan and China. He established the patent strategy of Thomson/Technicolor group, from innovation protection, through patent portfolio management, to value extraction with the control over quality and budget. His organization is behind over 15 years’ success of Thomson Licensing, a world class patent licensing entity.

Jianguo rejoined Casalonga in 2018 to share the benefit of his industrial experience in IP with clients, and to help them integrating IP into their business strategies and dynamically managing the value chain from innovation protection to management and value extraction of IP portfolio, taking into account their objectives and constraints.
